The Cuff Complex welcomes MD/DJ and Essex on Friday, November 20th for a night of shifting rhythms and sounds that reach beyond a single genre.
Queer Seattle-based DJ MD/DJ builds his sets around contrast, tension, and release. Soulful house rhythms and progressive melodies meet euphoric trance, hypnotic grooves, and harder techno. His appearances include The Cuff, Seattle Pride events, and an opening set for Luttrell during EDC Las Vegas weekend.
Essex brings a global approach to open-format DJing, moving between hip-hop, R&B, reggaeton, pop, disco, house, and Afrobeats. A Black queer DJ and resident of Queer Bar’s MX., he has opened for artists including Mykki Blanco, Zebra Katz, and Cakes Da Killa. His selections connect eras, languages, and emerging sounds with an instinct for reading the room.
Join both DJs at Cuff from 10 PM until late. Grab a drink, find your people, and leave some room for the unexpected.
